Tune Talk, the mobile virtual network operator(MVNO) partly owned by Celcom Axiata announced that it has started accepting pre-orders for the BlackBerry Curve 9220. The BlackBerry Curve 9220 smartphone from Tune Talk is priced at RM599 in Malaysia and it will be available starting June 4, 2012.
As reported before, the Curve 9220 is a basic smartphone but it runs the latest OS7.1. There is no 3G, just GSM/EDGE and the phone has a QWERTY keyboard and a 2.44-inch QVGA display. Other features include 2MP camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, FM Radio, the microSD card slot(supports up to 32GB) and 512MB of RAM. The BlackBerry maker(Research In Motion) claims that the Curve 9220 offers music playback up to 28 hours. Talktime is rated 7 hours while standby time is estimated 432 hours.

The BlackBerry service from TuneTalk cost RM18 a month, however it does not include web browsing, watching YouTube, using WhatsApp or downloading files.
Customers who pre-order the BlackBerry Curve 9220 now can collect the device from the Tune Talk office after June 4 or they can add on RM20 for postage delivery. Visit the Tune Talk website to make the pre-order.
Tune Talk and the other operators in Malaysia(except Maxis) are expected to offer the new BlackBerry Curve 9320 sometime July 2012, however there are no official details yet.
