Celcom Axiata on last week announced a refreshed rate for its S.O.X(School of X) prepaid starter pack. The SOX starter pack is targeted to those between the age of 13-17 years old and is available at the price of RM8.50 a pack.
According to Zalman Aefendy who is the Chief Marketing Office of Celcom, with a minimum usage of RM1 daily on the new plan, students will be able to enjoy free voice calls, video calls, SMS or MMS to the same network which is valid between 8am – 8pm daily.

Call rates are now charged 28sen per 3 minutes, 2sen/SMS within network and 8sen/SMS outside the network.
SOX users will have to meet the RM1 before 8pm daily and select their freebie before 8pm daily in order to enjoy the freebies. Upon meeting the criteria, select any of the freebie by replying to the SMS confirmation before 8pm.
Free voice & video calls are both capped at 600 minutes (200 blocks of 3 minutes) and free SMS & MMS are both capped at 1000 messages. The free voice and video calls will be deducted in blocks of 3 minutes.
Current SOX users will have to send MIG NEWSOX to 28882 to migrate to the New S.O.X plan.
