The Educube online education service offers over 70,000 questions with six key modules for students to enhance their study revisions anytime, anywhere via their PCs, laptop or tablets. In addition, Educube being bilingual in its offering helps cater to students’ proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Through Educube, students can also obtain feedback from automated marking tutelage which helps them learn from their mistakes.

According to Celcom, Educube content, exams, exercises and more were developed by a team of prominent accredited academicians that have extensive years of experience in teaching, drafting and marking exams at a national level, and who are also familiar with online learning delivery. All assessment materials were reviewed according to Malaysia’s national education syllabus.

“Through the use of technology, we can help students to enhance their understanding of lessons by using a multimedia approach that incorporates school, tuition and exams in a 3-in-1 online service. This is part of Celcom’s initiative to provide an alternative, fun learning method. Educube was built as an alternative online service with a concept that is effective, fun, and easy-to-use which enriches learning experiences for students while preparing them for the national exams. Its content is based on the official education curriculum and it’s constantly moulded to deliver an innovative educational experience,” said Afizulazha Abdullah, Chief Operations, Advanced Data (CAD) of Celcom Axiata Berhad.

In order for Celcom customers to start enjoying and learning on Educube, all they need to do is simply subscribe to the package via SMS by typing On Educube and sending it to 21234. The subscription fee is RM4.99 per month.

Non-Celcom customers can also purchase subscription cards at selected Blue Cube and authorised dealers from July 2012.

In conjunction with this launch, Celcom is inviting schools all over Malaysia to participate in an Online National Exam and Trials for UPSR, PMR and SPM before sitting for the actual national examinations. Students who participate and represent their school in the event will receive incentives should they achieve good results in the exams. Along with the students, the respective schools also will receive incentives in form of cash from Celcom. In addition, students who took the exams can review and identify their academic performance amongst schools, district, state and the nation.

Afizulazha added that Educube live trial started one month ago and now has a couple thousand of users. The Educube service was developed together with Orenda Sdn Bhd and endorsed by the National Parent Teacher Association (PIBGN).
