Maxis to offer the New iPad

Maxis is set to offer the new iPad this coming June 22. No much details on the pricing yet but Maxis is expected to offer something more than just data plans.

At the moment, Maxis does not offer the older iPads or subsidize the iPad with any contract plan. It only offers data plans for exciting iPad users who purchase the device from Apple resellers in Malaysia.

Current Maxis iPad Data Plan:

iPad Data Plans- Entry 3.5GB(RM70), Super 6GB(RM90), Premium 15GB(RM200)
With iValue Plans-Entry 3.5GB(RM60), Super 6GB(RM80), Premium 15GB(RM190)

The new iPad(3) from Apple is powered by a custom-designed dual core A5X chip with quad-core graphics, much improved processing power if compared to the iPad 2. It has a 9.7-inch (diagonal) Retina display with 2048-by-1536-pixel resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi). There’s also a 5MP camera, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi(a/b/g/n) & LTE connectivity.

Below is the current retail price of the new iPad in Malaysia:

The WiFi version of the new iPad:

  • 16GB- $499 (the price that we estimate in Malaysia- RM1499)
  • 32GB- $599 (the price that we estimate in Malaysia- RM1799)
  • 64Gb- $699 (the price that we estimate in Malaysia- RM2099)

The 4G/3G versions:

  • 16GB- $629 (the price that we estimate in Malaysia- RM1899)
  • 32GB- $729 (the price that we estimate in Malaysia- RM2199)
  • 64Gb- $829 (the price that we estimate in Malaysia- RM2499)
