Nokia has unveiled the Asha Touch family of mobile devices today. The three new phone models are – the Nokia Asha 305, Nokia Asha 306 and Nokia Asha 311 – further expand the Asha family while maintaining a low price.
The Asha was first introduced in October 2011 and at the moment there are 10 Asha devices available in more than 130 markets. No availability have been set for Malaysia yet.
Nokia Asha 311- estimated price of RM365
The Nokia Asha 311 is a Series 40 candy bar device and has a 3.0” capacitive touch screen with WQVGA resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz processor and comes with a 256MB of internal memory expandable via a microSD card slot. It features a 3.2MP camera and has Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, microUSB port plus a 3,5mm audio jack.
There’s also 3G with HSUPA, GPS, FM Radio and Nokia claims a maximum music playback time of 40 hours.
The Nokia Asha 311 measures 106 mm x 52 mm x 12.9 mm and weights 95 grams. It is comes with a 1110mAh battery. The Nokia Asha 311 has an estimated retail price of EUR 92 and expected to start shipping in the third quarter of 2012.
Nokia Asha 305- estimated price of RM250
The Nokia Asha 305 is a dual-SIM phone. It has a 3″ resistive touch screen with WQVGA resolution.
There is also a 2MP camera, microSD card slot and dual-band GSM/EDGE connectivity(No 3G), Bluetooth 2.1, microUSB 2.0 connector and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Nokia claims that the Asha 305 offers a maximum music playback time of 40 hours and a maximum video playback time of 9.5 hours. The phone measures at 110.3 mm x 53.8 mm x 12.8 mm, weight is 98.3 grams. It is powered by a 1110mAh battery. Nokia is offering 40 EA games for download.
The estimated retail price for Nokia Asha 305 is EUR 63 and it’s expected to start shipping in the second quarter of 2012.
Nokia Asha 306- estimated price of RM270
The Nokia Asha 306 is similar to Nokia Asha 305 except that it supports WiFi and video streaming through both GPRS and WLAN. The estimated retail price for Nokia Asha 306 is EUR 68 and expected to start shipping in the third quarter of 2012.
