Telekom Malaysia to “Fibre Up” Berjaya Hills

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) and Berjaya Hills Berhad have inked a Service Agreement for the deployment and provision of TM’s fibre network infrastructure and services to the properties at Berjaya Hills, Bukit Tinggi which includes Colmar Tropicale Berjaya Hills, The Chateau Organic Spa and Berjaya Golf, as well as the Ministry of Housing and Local Government office which is located at the foot of the hill.

Ramlan Omar, State General Manager, TM Kuala Lumpur, signed the Service Agreement on behalf of TM while Berjaya Hills Berhad was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Teh Ming Wah. The ceremony was witnessed by Azizi A Hadi, Executive Vice President, SME, TM and Ong Chin Seng, Financial Controller of Berjaya Hills Berhad.

With this collaboration, the properties and developments at Berjaya Hills will be powered by TM’s fibre optic network and premium internet services via TM Direct with capability to be upgraded up to 1Gbps bandwidth to cater to the current and future communication needs of travellers and villa owners. These access services are set to provide the residents with an enhanced Internet experience while staying up on the hill.

According to TM, the communications services also gives a value-added advantage to Berjaya Hills to attract a larger audience of travelers, holiday makers and corporate clientele alike to make Berjaya Hills as their retreat and getaway location of choice as well as potential home buyers.

Commenting on the collaboration between the two parties, Ramlan Omar noted that this is another significant achievement for TM in bringing its fibre optic internet services up to the hills and the collaboration augurs well for both parties in providing the best for its customers.

Berjaya Hills is located 45-minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur, sprawled over 16,000 acres of lush greenery at 3,000 feet above sea level, in the state of Pahang. The development consists of mixed development of residential villas & bungalows – ‘Villas @ Berjaya Hills’, resorts properties namely The Chateau Spa & Organic Wellness Resort, the world’s first organic spa & wellness resort and Colmar Tropicale, a French-themed resort, a golf course & club house -‘Berjaya Hills Golf & Country Club’, retail shop lots – ‘Olive Point’ and other unique tourist attractions, such as, Japanese Village, Horse Trails, Animal Park, Adventure Park and Four-Faced Buddha.
