The Asus PadFone is priced at RM2399 in Malaysia and it comes with the Asus PadFone Station(tablet). It will be available starting today.
The Asus PadFone features a qHD (960×540-pixel) 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display. The PadFone is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 8260A (Cortex A15) processor and runs Android 4.0.
Other specifications include a 8MP camera at the back, VGA front camera, HSPA, Bluetooth, WiFi and 1GB of RAM. Full specification can be found here. Asus has included a free 32GB cloud storage service for three years called Asus Webstorage.
With the PadFone Station tablet, users can expand the Padfone’s view from 4.3” PadFone to 10.1”(WXGA 1280×800, TFT with Capacitive Multi touch panel). While the PadFone Station(tablet) does not work without the PadFone, it offers up to 63 hours of talk time when used together.
The PadFone Station comes with its own optional keyboard dock, the price is yet to be announced. The Station Dock keyboard accessory houses its own battery that charges the PadFone for up to 102 hours of talk time and comes with additional USB ports and card reader.
The optional Bluetooth PadFone stylus headset allow users to make calls, draw and write. It is priced at RM179.
