Celcom Axiata is introducing a remix of the classic hit Menjelang Hari Raya as part of its exclusive Aidilfitri offerings on The Cube.

Menjelang Hari Raya was originally recorded in 1979 and is a perennial favourite for Raya celebrations since its first performance by Datuk Irwan Shah Abdullah, who is popularly known as D.J. Dave. The new Menjelang Hari Raya (CUBE Mix) single is conceived and produced by The Cube and will be available exclusively on The Cube as part of its Musicube and Call Me Tones offerings.
Commenting on the remix of his classic song, D.J. Dave said, “For a song that has been around for almost 35 years, I think Celcom has done a very good job to make it appeal to a younger generation of music lovers especially through new media like The Cube. People will be dancing to the song when they listen to it on their mobiles!”
“Through projects such as these, I hope to do more Raya songs and nostalgic numbers, perhaps something with similar beats. I am in discussion with The Cube for future collaborations and hope to keep music lovers entertained this Hari Raya and for future ones to come,” he added.
The Menjelang Hari Raya (CUBE Mix) single is part of The Cube’s Nur Ramadan and Salam Syawal campaigns for Ramadan and Aidilfitri this year, which aims to bring customers and their loved ones closer together through a celebration of love by forgiving, sharing and caring.
The Cube will be offering seven promotional premieres as part of its Malam 7 Likur promotions from the 12th to the 19th of August 2012, each to be launched in the seven days leading towards the month of Syawal. These include an exclusive partnership with TV Al-Hijrah for mobile content, the Umrah Bersama Call Me Tones campaign that will give Call Me Tones Ramadan package subscribers the opportunity to perform umrah with a loved one, and a chance to win RM1,500 duit raya daily during the last week of Ramadan through The Cube’s Call Me Tones – an 50% increase from the previous daily cash prize of RM1,000 during The Cube’s Duit Raya Seribu Sehari promotion.
