3 New Hong Kong TV Channels on HyppTV

Telekom Malaysia Berhad’s (TM) IPTV service that runs on UniFi has made available three(3) new channels targeted to the Chinese -speaking viewers.

The new channels, now International (Channel 155), now Mango (Channel 156) and now HaiRun (Channel 157), are available now on HyppTV through TM’s collaboration with Hong Kong’s PCCW Media Ltd.

now TV is one of the world’s largest commercial deployments of IPTV and Hong Kong’s largest pay-TV provider. It is delivered by PCCW Media, the multimedia and entertainment subsidiary of PCCW Limited.

Short description of the 3 new channels below:

  • now International (Channel 155) is a Cantonese language channel offering an array of high quality cooking, lifestyle and travel programmes, along with a wide selection of popular variety shows and entertainment news programmes of Hong Kong’s highly rated now TV. Produced in HD quality, these programmes are tailored made for viewers who appreciate the good things in life. Popular productions include One Life One Earth, 18/22, Chef Corner, Station 102 and You are the Queen.
  • now Mango (Channel 156), Broadcast in mandarin, is not to be missed by anyone looking for a close encounter with the A-list artistes from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan – Zhang Ziyi, Aaron Kwok, Faye Wong and Shu Qi are just some of the stars appearing in the interview talk shows of Happy Camp and World of Women. The channel is a joint venture between now TV and Hunan Broadcasting System, one of the top producers from mainland China.
  • now HaiRun (Channel 157) is a drama series channel broadcast in Mandarin featuring the high-quality productions of Hairun Media from mainland China and starring renowned artistes from mainland China and Hong Kong. Its attractive series line-up includes The Era of Late Marriage and Special Citizen just to name a few.

To celebrate the launch, TM is giving HyppTV subscribers free viewing of the three new channels from 15 October to 14 November.

Earlier this month, HyppTV also launched two new sports channels, HyppSports HD (Channel 174) and FOX Football Channel (Channel 173).

HyppSports HD Channel brings the best in American sports such as the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL) as well as UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League live matches whereby for the first time in Malaysia up to four (4) matches are being simulcast live in full HD on each match day.

FOX Football Channel is a 24-hour non-stop football channel, showcasing some of the best football leagues in the world such as Spain’s La Liga BBVA, the Netherland’s Eredevisie, the Russian Premier League as well as ChelseaTV and CityTV.
