Celcom Nano SIM now available for iPhone 5 users in Malaysia

As reported on MalaysianWireless.com, Celcom Axiata has started offering the Nano-SIM for iPhone 5 users in Malaysia.

Celcom’s nano-SIM card can be used with all of Celcom’s postpaid or prepaid plans as well as mobile data and broadband bundles.

New replacement SIMs will be available at 80 Celcom branches and Blue Cube stores nationwide from 6 October 2012 for postpaid customers while prepaid customers can expect availability of nano-SIMs from 15 October 2012.

The nano-SIM is the next step in the evolution of SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) technology specially manufactured for the new phase of smart devices, and is the latest and smallest form factor of the SIM cards commonly used in mobile telecommunications devices. Measuring 12.3 × 8.8 × 0.67 mm, it is smaller than the micro-SIM but holds the same amount of data.
