iPhone 5 may launch in Malaysia on December 14 [Insider]

Malaysia iPhone 5 launch confirmed on 14 December-[Update, 1am, 4th Dec]

Despite all the rumours we have heard about iPhone 5 launch in Malaysia, it has yet to be officially available here. The iPhone 5 was recently made available in Thailand, India, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Malta and Romania.

Adding on to all the rumours that has “expired”, we can tell you at the point of writing that Malaysia iPhone 5 is expected to launch on December 14. However this date is still more than 2-weeks away and we can’t guarantee that as Apple may change their mind.

We will also reveal the expected pricing for the iPhone 5.

Unfortunately, due to some important reasons we can only reveal the pricing close to the launch of iPhone 5 in Malaysia.

Demand for the iPhone 5 have been high since it was made available in September only in selected countries all around the world. Apple sold over 5 million iPhone 5 in just three days.

Availability of the iPhone 5 has improved significantly as Apple is catching up to prepare for the holiday season where they can sell more iPhones. Some analyst have predicted to Apple is set to sell some 45 million iPhones in the final quarter of this year.

Adding on to the country list above, the iPhone 5 is also available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, UK, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. It set to be available in more than 100 countries(including Malaysia) by the end of the year.

In Malaysia, mobile operators such as Maxis, Celcom and DiGi are expected to offer the iPhone 5.
