Experience Celcom 4G LTE now at Blue Cube

Celcom Axiata Berhad is offering customers to experience its soon to be launched Long Term Evolution(LTE) service.

The Celcom 4G LTE Experience Hubs are now open to public at Menara Celcom and its flagship Blue Cube store at Sunway Pyramid, Selangor. The Celcom 4G LTE Experience Hubs will showcase LTE-enabled smartphones and tablets that will ride on Celcom’s new 4G LTE network to be rolled out over the next six months.

The mobile operator said that it will first make the 4G LTE service available to broadband customers. The details however will only be revealed in early February. Celcom 4G LTE service comes with voice which is expected to be available to postpaid customers later this year.

At the showcase, Huawei was the only brand used in the demo including the Huawei Media 10 FHD tablet and Huawei Ascend P1 LTE smartphone. There was also a LTE USB dongle and a Wireless Router(LTE/3G/WiFi).

Celcom’s Chief Marketing Officer, Zalman Aefendy Zainal Abidin told MalaysianWireless that the operator is also working with different brands such as Samsung to make sure that the LTE service will be supported on current LTE devices.

The Celcom 4G LTE network will ride on the 2,600MHz LTE spectrum which will enable visitors to experience speeds of up to 10 times faster than 3G speeds. Both experience hubs is open to public now and can be visited during normal operating hours.

P.s: MalaysianWireless tested Celcom 4G LTE and was able to achieve speeds up to 60Mbps.
