U Mobile Sdn Bhd recently introduced a new RM48 prepaid plan under its Unlimited Mobile Internet (UMI) Plans.
The new UMI 48 prepaid plan cost RM48 and comes with a 1-month validity. Targeted to smartphone users, the plan includes 2GB of data, 100 minutes of free calls to all local networks and 30 free SMS to all local networks.
“UMI 48 brings an element of convenience to our subscribers who can now enjoy unlimited mobile internet without the hassle of topping-up several times a month. With a higher data allocation, consumers can do more with their smart devices while staying connected with their friends and family,” said Jaffa Sany Ariffin, Chief Executive Officer of U Mobile.
“Customers can always expect more innovative products from U Mobile as we strive to stay at the forefront of the industry in terms of innovation and dynamism,” he added.
U Mobile’s UMI service is an extension to its other prepaid plans which provide users unlimited data access (subject to a fair usage policy) even after they have exceeded the allocated data quota. U Mobile first launch the UMI plan in April 2011 with the introduction of its UMI 28 prepaid plan, offering users 500MB data, 100 minutes of free calls to all local networks and 30 free SMS to all local networks at RM28/month.
For youths and those who are cost conscious, there is also the UMI 18 prepaid plan, which was launched in November 2012. At RM18/month, users enjoy 250MB data, 25 minutes of free calls to all local networks and free 25 SMS to all local networks.
