Acer Malaysia today announced the new Acer Liquid C1 in the country. The Android device is the first Intel-Inside smartphone to be launched in Malaysia powered by the Intel Atom processor Z2420 (code-named Lexington).

The Acer Liquid C1 will carry a retail price of RM999 and available by the end of the month via local retailers.

Acer said that the Liquid C1 has a 8MP camera that launches instantly and features 5 frames per second burst shooting. The PC maker also claims that the battery last up to 9 hours on a single charge and users don’t need to worry about hunting for a charging port or lugging around an external charger.
As part of the launch promotion, Acer is introducing a “Try Before You Buy” program where customers can opt for a 3 days loan unit at the retail price of RM999. After 3 days, customers returning the loan unit can opt for the brand new Liquid C1 or they can get their money back.
