Maxis CEO Sandip Das to resign early

Sandip Das who is the current Maxis CEO has requested an early resignation from the company. His request has been approved by the board members and will be leaving Maxis on 15 April 2013.

Sandip has been with Maxis over the last 6-years and will be replaced by Johan Dennelind effective 1 July 2013.

Till then, Maxis day to day operations will be in good hands, handled by its two good COOs, Suren J Amarasekera and Mark Dioguardi.

Following the announcement made on 21 December 2012, Maxis Berhad (Maxis) would like to inform that Sandip Das, current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maxis whose tenure as CEO ends on 30 June 2013, has requested for an early release from office. The Board has agreed to Sandip’s request, and accordingly he will relinquish his position as CEO and as a Director of Maxis, with effect from 15 April 2013.

Pending Johan Dennelind’s commencement of office on 1 July 2013 as Maxis’ new CEO, a committee comprising Chief Financial Officer Nasution Mohamed; the Joint Chief Operating Officers, Suren J Amarasekera and Mark Dioguardi, will act collectively under the guidance and direction of, and reporting to, the Chairman, Raja Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Arshad bin Raja Tun Uda. This is to ensure effective decision making and continuity of operations in the intervening period.

The Board would like to reiterate its thanks to Sandip for his valuable contributions to the Company over the last 6 years, and would like to wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
