In conjunction with the upcoming Raya celebrations, DiGi Telecommunications is offering free Sony Xperia E for customers who sign up for its postpaid service plan, DG Postpaid Simple. The Telco said that the promotion is tailored for customers who are looking for an entry-level smartphone that packages huge amount of voice and SMS, along with mobile Internet service.
The DG Postpaid Simple plan has a monthly fee of RM50 and comes with RM100 worth of domestic talktime and SMS. Customers can opt for the Mobile Internet Add-on service with at least 250MB Internet quota from RM28 per month. The bundled, free Sony Xperia E is retailed at RM499.
The package comes with a 24-months contract and a minimum monthly fee of RM78. An upfront payment of RM410 applies.
Ting Shiew Han, Head of Products – Consumer & Business, explained: “DiGi has 5.8 million mobile internet customers, including 3.0 million smartphone users, as of Q1 2013. This means there are still many people out there who prefer to interact via voice calls and SMS. The double value in talktime and SMS offered under DG Postpaid Simple would appeal to these consumers.
