U Mobile Sdn Bhd is partnering Berjaya Channel Sdn Bhd (BChannel) to power up 1,000 BChannel digital TV screens across Klang Valley, Selangor, Pahang and Negeri Sembilan with high speed mobile internet – a step to broaden its footprint in its enterprise, business-to-business and SME business portfolio.

This partnership entails the use of U Mobile E28 plan and the telco’s broadband dongles in providing the wireless broadband data connectivity to deliver the advertisement contents effectively across its 3G high-speed internet access and displaying the content on the BChannel “eye-catching” digital screens.
These Internet-powered screens will be carrying advertisements and creative developed by subsidiaries within the Berjaya Group, U Mobile and other participating vendors that have invested to widen their brand visibility through this channel which will be prominently featured in restaurants, convenience stores, shopping malls, pharmacies and many other retail outlets.
U Mobile said that this collaboration showcases its capabilities and commitment in providing products and services to entrepreneurs and small-medium enterprises in the form of high speed mobile internet, which is an essential necessity in the business arena today. The convenience of U Mobile broadband makes it easier for entrepreneurs and SME operators to be connected without relying on public WiFi connections.

“Using tier one content management software powered by U Mobile’s 3G high speed internet connection, we are able to deliver across the entire network or selected localized areas the advertisement contents with very short deployment time needed,” he added.
BChannel will start off the first phase of implementation with 1,000 screens and is currently working on deploying more sites to provide further coverage to other high traffic areas in the country.
