BSN appointed as Celcom’s Prepaid Reload partner

Celcom Axiata Berhad has appointed Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) as its new prepaid reload partner. Via the partnership, Celcom will now offer even more convenient locations for prepaid reloads via BSN’s nationwide network of Registered Banking Agents (EBB).

The partnership will  immediately see Celcom  prepaid reloads made available at more than 4,209 selected EBB BSN premises, with  5,000 agents targeted by the end of the year.

Sales of prepaid reloads will be done through BSN’s Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals which allow for fully-digital transactions while removing the need for physical stock.

Transactions performed through this channel are secure with Celcom M2M services and comes at no additional cost,  giving customers  complete peace of mind as with Celcom’s other prepaid reload channels such as Airtime Share as well as Celcom branches and authorised agents.

All Celcom prepaid brands are eligible for reload purchased through BSN’s authorised banking  agents, including  Celcom First, Xpax,  U.O.X,  S.O.X, Celcom Frenz and Instanet broadband.

Celcom says that it process about 600,000 transactions per day nationwide, or between RM11 million to RM13 million.

BSN currently services more than 8  million customers holding 11.13 million accounts (as  of June 2013) with retail savings deposits standing at RM13.04 billion. BSN said that its 4,209 EBBs have recorded more than RM7.9 million transactions amounting to more than RM 705 million.
