The much anticipated BlackBerry Z30 has been unveiled in Malaysia today. The latest smartphone from BlackBerry is set to go on sale early October via mobile operator Celcom Axiata at the retail price of RM1998 (approximately USD$617).
The BlackBerry Z30 runs the last Blackberry OS 10.2 and it is powered by a dual core 1.7 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with QuadCore Adreno 320 GPU. The screen is 5 inch with a resolution of 1280 x 768, Super AMOLED display.
Other specifications include 2GB of RAM, 4G LTE support, NFC, AGPS, a large 2880 mAh battery, 8 MP rear-facing camera(2MP front-facing), 16 GB of on-board storage and microSD support. Download the full specification here.
As part of the exclusive 2-weeks launch with Celcom, the first 200 customers to purchase the Z30 will receive a BlackBerry Z10 for free, 2 concert tickets(Alicia Keys- Set The World On Fire tour in late Nov in Malaysia), stereo headsets, among the few.
The following 200 Malaysians to purchase the BlackBerry Z30 from Celcom will be offered the same freebies except for the Z10, they will be offered a 50% discount. In total, up to 1,000 lucky customers will enjoy certain freebies from Celcom when they purchase the BlackBerry Z30 during the limited period.
After the exclusive 2-weeks period, the rest of the mobile operators in Malaysia including Maxis and DiGi will offer the BlackBerry Z30 as well.
BlackBerry said in a statement that the BlackBerry Z30 smartphone will roll out from select carriers and retailers around the world beginning next week in the UK and Middle East, and all other regions going into the holiday season.
