Samsung Galaxy Note 3 price at RM2399 in Malaysia, Galaxy Gear to cost more than RM1k [Insider]

MalaysianWireless has learned from reliable sources that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be priced at RM2399 in Malaysia.


Earlier today, Samsung Malaysia sent out a media invite with the following message:

As we “Bring to Life” the most anticipated launch of the year- Samsung GALAXY Note 3 and GALAXY Gear

The event is expected to take place on next Friday(20 September).

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 detailed specifications below:

Our sources also said that the Samsung Galaxy Gear is expected to cost more than RM1,000 in Malaysia. MalaysianWireless believes that it could be somewhere close to RM1300.

The Samsung Galaxy Gear is a smartwatch that works with Galaxy S III and S4, Note II and III, Note 10.1 2014, among the limited devices.


The Galaxy Gear has a 1.63″ Super AMOLED touch screen with 320 x 320 resolution (277ppi). Other features include a 800 MHz processor, 1.9 Megapixel Camera(BSI Sensor, Auto Focus/ Sound & Shot), 2 Microphones (Noise Cancellation), 1 Speaker, Bluetooth v 4.0 + BLE, 4GB Internal memory, 512 MB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy Gear weights 73.8g, it has a dimension of 36.8 x 56.6 x 11.1 mm. Samsung claims that the 315mAh Li-ion battery will last about a day.

Color options for the wrist band smartwatch include Jet Black, Mocha Grey, Rose Gold, Wild Orange, Oatmeal Beige and Lime Green.

As usual, Malaysia mobile operators including Maxis, Celcom & DiGi are expected to offer the new Samsung devices.
