At the same event, TM also launched the Iskandar International Gateway (IIGW), its latest investment in Iskandar Malaysia, a hub catering to various information exchange needs.
With My1Hub, TM claims that industry players are now able to offer broadband services at competitive rates to end customers. My1Hub also provides an open and supportive ICT platform offering Internet, bandwidth and hosting services to facilitate the various needs of global and domestic players/partners. What makes My1Hub enticing to industry players is its strategic locations in key central business areas, namely in Kuala Lumpur, Cyberjaya, Penang and Johor Bahru.
In terms of the infrastructure, all My1Hub nodes are pre-wired domestically to the cable landing stations at a very high capacity bandwidth which in turn leads to a shorter service delivery. Customers residing at any My1Hub nodes will be able to link to all submarine cable systems which TM are connected to via four (4) cable landing stations namely Cherating in Terengganu, Mersing in Johor, Kuala Muda in Kedah and Pengkalan Balak in Melaka. Furthermore, customers will automatically ride on TM’s High Speed Broadband (HSBB) infrastructure.
An interested customer needs only to subscribe to either bandwidth service or Internet service; or both, at any of the My1Hub Data Centres in order to enjoy seamless connectivity, domestically or internationally.
In support of the My1Hub initiative, TM also established the Iskandar International Gateway (IIGW). IIGW has been fortified with diverse links that are integrated directly with TM’s cable landing stations to ensure the network infrastructure in Iskandar Malaysia will be able to cater to the demand for vast growth of data and services with high speed up to 10Gbps.
Strategically located in Nusajaya, Johor, IIGW is an emerging, bustling and vibrant metropolis region with established, scalable and diversified next generation network, thus improving the service performance and providing seamless broadband experience. IIGW is also in line with TM’s strategic plan to position Nusajaya as another hub of network reachability and data centre integration as well as preferred IT destination in South East Asia.
TM said that Nusajaya, being the nucleus of growth for Iskandar Malaysia, is an essential facet of TM’s future expansion in telecommunications, ICT & BPO services.
