Maxis has activated 4G LTE service for its Hotlink prepaid customers. Starting today, Hotlink customers who are subscribed to selected mobile Internet data plan are offered free upgrade to a LTE SIM and 50% more data for a limited time.
How Hotlink users can enjoy 4G LTE service:
- Purchase an LTE enabled device (if you don’t already own one)
- Subscribe to our Mobile Internet Monthly 1GB (RM30) or Mobile Internet Monthly 3GB (RM68) Plan
- Upgrade your SIM for free to the LTE version (Micro-SIM or Nano-SIM)
- Ensure APN is set to UNET through *136#
Only customers with the Mobile Internet Monthly 1GB or 3GB plan are eligible for the Free LTE SIM swap. The LTE SIM swap for Hotlink customers is available nationwide at Maxis Centres, Maxis Exclusive Partners and Hotlink Dealers.
As part of the launch, Maxis is giving away 50% more data for the selected Hotlink mobile Internet plans. For a limited time until 28 February, the 1GB month plan will be given 500MB extra(total 1.5GB) and the 3GB plan will offer a total of 4.5GB of data.
Maxis 4G LTE services is mostly available in the Klang Valley, Penang and Johor. There are also limited LTE coverage in Kedah, Perak, Kelantan, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Sabah & Sawawak
