The GSMA have announced the winners of the 19th Annual Global Mobile awards, held at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona(Spain) on Tuesday.
In total more than 175 independent analysts, journalists, academics and subject matter experts throughout the world participated in the judging process, including the chief technology officers of 14 mobile operators who took part in judging the “Outstanding Overall Mobile Technology” award.

“The HTC One remained one of the most advanced smartphones throughout 2013. Its great design and excellent user interface continue to provide a differentiated user experience, standing out from the competition” the judges said.
As for the Apple iPad Air, they commented “The iPad Air packs class-leading performance in an attractive and svelte frame, while its ecosystem has an undisputed advantage in the number of format-optimized apps”.
