Malaysia’s second largest mobile operator by subscribers, Maxis, launched FINDIT yesterday, the largest digital directory service in the country, as it claims.

FINDIT is a partnership between FINDIT Malaysia and Maxis Berhad, available for free to all Maxis customers.
For consumers, FINDIT provides access to information on 175,000 business listings in over 2,500 categories, including location maps and driving directions, directly from their mobile phones. Consumers can also enjoy special offers and promotions from various merchants listed in the directory, which they can redeem immediately.
For businesses, FINDIT serves as a tool to help them be more visible to a much wider market, capitalising on the popular mobile platform to connect with their own customers. FINDIT’s location-based feature also enables users to search for product and services closest to their location.
FINDIT Malaysia is powered and managed in partnership with Getit Transnational Private Limited– a subsidiary of India’s leading local search services provider. “We are delighted to work with Maxis and bring our global experience to the Malaysian market with cutting edge mobile search and classifieds solutions. In a product demo and experiential event held in Kuala Lumpur yesterday for the media, T. Kugan, Maxis’ Head of Digital Services, said, “Searching for information on mobile devices is the second most popular internet activity after emails, with 46% of users using their mobile devices as a primary search tool. FINDIT is a service that is therefore relevant to our modern day lifestyles, especially when we are constantly on the go. Importantly, this service puts the power in our customers’ hands and allows them to always stay connected.”
In emphasising the importance of FINDIT as a mobile platform for the enterprise segment, Abraham Foss, Maxis’ Head of Enterprise said, “FINDIT is a representation of how we can simplify lives and create new ways of working for businesses. FINDIT has also partnered with Maybank, who will jointly promote FINDIT services to its merchants, as well as the Malaysian Retail Chains Association (MRCA), who will undertake joint promotions together with FINDIT and its members.
FINDIT is available to all for free on multiple platforms: By downloading the FINDIT app on both Android and iOS operating systems from Google Play and App Store respectively. FINDIT is also available exclusively for Maxis customers via UMB on their mobile.
