Ninetology sold over 1 million devices to date

Ninetology Malaysia, a Malaysia-based smartphone maker, announced that it has sold over 1 million mobile devices to date.

“We have sold over 1 million units to date and have expanded into Indonesia as of September 2013, a partnership with Indonesia’s renowned singer and actress, Agnes Monica. Our devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile processors, a world leader in 3G, 4G and next-generation wireless technologies, to continue our efforts in delivering outstanding value to our consumers, as evident by our results for over the past two years,” said Sean Ng, Chief Executive Officer of Ninetology ASEAN.

The company announced RM180 million in revenue with 12% mobile device market share in Malaysia as of December 2013. It said it established its revenue target of RM380 million by the end of 2014, projected from its expansion plans into Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

“We have humanised our products, which will be the foundation for our business growth and expansion,” he continued. Ninetology states that it would strengthen its Smart Communication project this year. Some of its upcoming efforts will incorporate collaborations with content providers and to implement Cloud –based E-tracking system in devices to produce “humanised devices” for the public.

In addition, the brand also unveiled its recent AirAsia aircraft livery to mark its ASEAN wide expansion plans and launched its “so WOW for all” campaign which is an ongoing one year project to further expand Ninetology’s reach towards users and partners in the country.

Ninetology will also be investing up to RM5 million, to increase its experiential centres to 9 other locations across Malaysia by 2015 as part of their expansion plan in the country.

Both companies said that the partnership is expected be the key driver for their ASEAN expansion plans and development, such as its upcoming LTE mobile device, which is expected to be announced this year.
