Huawei opens first Flagship Store in Malaysia

Huawei Device Malaysia officially opened its first flagship store in Malaysia last week. Located at Lot 108.8.8, Ground Floor, Plaza Lowyat, the store offers consumers the opportunity to get up-close with Huawei’s full range of devices.

Gary Xu, Country Director for Huawei Consumer Business Group in Malaysia said, “We have seen significant growth in demand of Huawei devices since we began our operations in Malaysia. We are rapidly raising the bar of our commitment by increasing our range of product offerings, expanding our dealer network, and creating more job opportunities for Malaysians through our various retail assets. Malaysia has a dynamic mobile ecosystem and we are on track in accomplishing the opening of 100 stores and 500 promotional kiosks here within the year.”

Including the brand new flagship store, Huawei now has 32 stores in the country to date.

“We are providing a full range of “best-in-class” quality products from entry level to high-end categories in Malaysia. We are also expanding our retail channels to offer consumers a rich and convenient experience. We see it timely to introduce Vmall.my now as the e-commerce market in Malaysia continues to flourish,” said Xu.

Xu further adds, “Physical presence, we believe, is far from obsolete as it is crucial for brands to have a channel that engages consumers face-to-face, provide a personal touch for a holistic brand experience. Our aim is to provide consumers the luxury of choice, with not just our wide range of devices, but also in their mode of purchase.”

To drive footfall and interest in the flagship store, Huawei is offering the following promotions exclusively available to customers visiting the store between 30th April and 5th May, 2014.

  • The first 15 customers to purchase a Huawei product within one of two sessions will be awarded a generous 20% discount. The two sessions will begin at 12.30pm and 4.30pm respectively, and will last from 30th April to 5th May.
  • Customers purchasing a Huawei Ascend Mate at RM1,099 will also be entitled to bring home the Huawei Ascend Y210 for an additional RM1.
