Digi Music Freedom pass offers unlimited music streaming for free until 30 June

Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd announced the launch of the Digi Music Freedom pass for subscribers to enjoy unlimited music streaming from the best music apps in the world.

Starting 13 March until 30 June 2015, Digi subscribers with an Internet plan can activate the Music Freedom pass for free to stream all the music they want from the most popular music discovery, streaming and Internet radio services including Deezer, Spotify, Rdio, KKBox, Soundhound, Hitz.fm, Era.fm, My.fm, BE-AT.TV and Q.us. Thereafter, the Digi Music Freedom pass can be purchased for RM3 per month for unlimited music streaming.

The Digi Music Freedom pass is available to all prepaid and postpaid subscribers with an active Internet plan. With the pass, customers can stream music from the selected apps for free without any data charges. However, the Digi Music Freedom pass does not cover or include premium version of the music apps, for example Spotify Premium. Digi said that for premium services of the music app, customers will have to subscribe to it themself. Subscribers can use the Digi Music Freedom pass for both Freemium and Premium of the selected apps, to stream music without any data chargers.

To activate and subscribe to Digi Music Freedom pass, customers must 1st download the Digi Music Freedom app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

“Music is universal and appeals to everyone. Similarly, music services are also very personal choices and we don’t limit our offering to only one service. What’s unique about the Digi Music Freedom pass is it allows subscribers to enjoy unlimited streaming from the most popular services that they are already using and are familiar with,” said Christian Thrane, Digi’s Chief Marketing Officer.

“We are pleased to partner with these big names in the music streaming scene to bring customers a breadth of choice. To add to the good news, we are giving 90 days of free streaming when customers subscribe to the Music Freedom pass from now until 30 June,” said Thrane.
