Samsung Galaxy S6 & S6 edge available starting 17 April in Malaysia

Samsung Malaysia Electronics announced that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge will be available in Malaysia starting 17 April. The Galaxy S6 is priced at RM2599 while the Galaxy edge is priced at RM3099.

Prices are inclusive of 6% GST. Both smartphones are available in the 32GB storage option and does not come with an external memory card slot.

Malaysians can choose from a range of colours such as the White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Blue Topaz (Galaxy S6 only) and Green Emerald (Galaxy S6 edge only).

Malaysians can pre-order their Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge from the 3rd to the 12th of April through the Samsung Malaysia webpage. For those who pre order the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge will receive a free wireless charger, while stock last.

Pre-order is also currently available on the website of Maxis and Digi (Galaxy S6 from RM1329, Galaxy S6 edge from RM1739). U Mobile will also offer the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.

For Celcom Axiata, customers have to walk in to a Blue Cube to pre-order the new Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 edge with a RM200 deposit. Celcom said the new smartphone will be available on 16 April onwards and the Samsung Galaxy S6 in Blue Topaz colour is exclusive to them. Celcom is giving away a free Samsung Galaxy Tav 3V to the 1st 600 Galaxy S6 customers.

Other outlets/stores that will offer the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge include Harvey Norman, Courts, Best, SenHeng and Yes.

Samsung Malaysia Electronics also announced a Personalised Pick-up Service with a dedicated careline for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge users. The service is free of charge and available to users who don’t live near a Samsung Service Centre.

Globally, the Korea Times reported that Samsung received a total of 20 million order for the S6, 15 million Galaxy S6 units and 5 million Galaxy S6 Edge units pre-ordered by mobile carriers across the world.
