Two men run amok at Maxis Centre KLCC today, one got tasered by Police

Two Maxis customers were arrested earlier today after there were believed to have run amok at the Maxis Service Centre KLCC, where the Telco is based, according to a news report.

The two guys wanted to purchase 10 Maxis VIP numbers, however there were only able to purchase two purchase 2 VIP numbers. Dissatisfied by it, the duo, both working as used car dealers, threatened Maxis employees and later splashed yellow paint at the outlet.

During the 12.06pm incident, the two suspects were arrested after they splashed the yellow paint at the Maxis centre. The suspects also called in 10 of their friends to help, however it is believed that the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) was quick to arrive on scene and one of suspect had to be tasered to be taken down.

It is learned that Maxis Centre KLCC was closed to customers after the incident. The Rakyat Post reported that around 30 customers were in the outlet during the incident.

Maxis confirmed the “incident” via its official customer service account on Twitter however no statement were by the Maxis management at the time of writing.

According to Kuala Lumpur Crime Investigations Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Zainuddin Ahmad, the case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and Section 427 for mischief.
