“Malaysia leads the world in smartphone usage and it is one of the only five nations worldwide to use their smartphones more than computers as the primary device for accessing the Internet .”

“The notion in favor of ‘mobile-first’ clearly set the importance of having a user-friendly online shopping app to better accommodate the seemingly increasing mobile shoppers, which primarily constitute the growing population of tech-savvy Gen-Ys in Malaysia,” Kim added.

Kim further shared that 11street’s mobile app is optimized to enhance our users’ online shopping experience based on the know-hows that we have gained in providing e-commerce services in Korea and other global ventures.

“The key differentiator of 11street’s mobile app is its broadly collaborative-curated content that enables consumers to access the hot selling products and services much easier, especially on the ‘Shocking Deals’ Section with Lowest Price Guarantee.”

“Overall, with a well categorized and more intuitive interface, consumers can navigate and find out what they love at 11street effortlessly at anytime, anywhere.”

Kim also highlighted, “11street will continuously upgrade its mobile apps’ services to offer greater user experience as today more than 50 percent of the traffic to 11street are generated on mobile devices.”

First established in South Korea in 2008, 11street has grown and became one of the top global e-commerce marketplaces with 400,000 sellers serving over 30 million consumers worldwide. 11street also has presence in Turkey and Indonesia, known respectively as n11 and elevenia.

11street in Malaysia is hosted by Celcom Planet Sdn Bhd which was established in November 2014. Celcom Planet is a joint venture between Celcom Axiata Berhad (49%) and a leading Korean e-commerce online marketplace provider, SK Planet Ltd (51%).
