Anyone looking to engage a service provider through the app need to choose from Page Advisor’s list of services, answer a series of short questions, and fill in the date and time that they need the job performed. As details of the job request will be sent through the app to merchants in the appropriate category, users can expect to receive multiple quotes within minutes of submitting their job request, and will be able to review merchant ratings and reviews before accepting a quote and appointing a service provider. Payment is made in-app by credit card upon confirmation of a job.
Page Advisor said that every merchant undergoes a stringent manual verification & screening process. “We do not take in freelancers and merchants who do not have a valid company or business registration,” it said.
To date, the company has entered into merchant agreements with over 1,500 companies and businesses in Malaysia, and is looking to increase that number as service providers see the benefits of joining a platform, which does not charge any sign-up, directory or bidding fees.
To celebrate its launch in Malaysia, Page Advisor is giving first time users a rebate of up to RM20 on their first transaction through the app, which will apply to job requests submitted by 31 July 2015.
The company said it plans to introduce the service to other countries such as Thailand, Indonesia and Australia in the near future.
