Malaysia iPhone 6s Launch Promotion – Free iPhone, discount voucher [Insider]

All four Telcos in Malaysia, Celcom, Digi, U Mobile and Maxis are expected to offer the latest smartphones from Apple, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, starting 12.01 am on 16 October.

MalaysianWireless heard of some promotion that will be offered during the midnight launch, below are the details.

U Mobile

The orange Telco caught our attention as they will be giving away free iPhone on the midnight launch.

A little bird told MalaysianWireless that the 1st 50 customers (at Berjaya Times Square) with a U Card membership who purchase an iPhone 6s from U Mobile (with a contract plan), download and instal the MYUMOBILE app will receive an iPhone 5c for free.

Also the first 300 customers who subscribe to any iPlan and install MyUMobile app will head home with a mystery gift.

U Mobile iPhone 6s start from RM1908.00 without contract, available with prepaid and postpaid iPlans.

The main launch is happening at U Mobile service centre at Berjaya Times Square on 16 October (queue starts at 6pm, 15 Oct till 3am, 16 Oct).

Other U Mobile Branch Extended Hours during iPhone 6s launch:

U Mobile said on its website that port-in (MNP) won’t be available during the launch. U Mobile is advising customer to port in before the launch if they plan to take up the U Mobile iPhone 6s offers.

Celcom

For Celcom iPhone 6s launch, customers can purchase the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus starting at midnight (12am) at four different outlets – Blue [email protected] Pyramid (main launch), Blue Cube Publika, Celcom Centre Taman Molek, Johor Bahru and Blue Cube Elit Avenue Bayan Baru, Penang.

The blue Telco will be offering trade-in values of up to RM1,900 for current iPhones.

iPhone 6s 16GB will be available starting at RM1,058 with the FIRST plan and iPhone 6s Plus 16GB will also be available starting at RM1,478 with the FIRST plan. Customers who sign up now will also receive a limited time offer of 12GB complimentary data (1GB per month for 12 months) as an additional quota on top of their new plan.

In addition, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 5s are also available, likely at a discounted price.

Digi

For Digi iPhone 6s, customers who pre-order a new iPhone will enjoy an additional RM200 rebate when they sign up with a Digi SmartPlan 98 and customers who switch to Digi can save up to RM300.

Digi will be holding launch events at six Digi Stores around the country beginning 10pm on October 15 where customers can buy their new iPhones after midnight and enjoy attractive discounts as well as other goodies.

The first 200 customers at each of Digi stores (6 stores in total) will have the opportunity to win discount vouchers & other freebies on the night itself. Discounts up to RM1,000 will be given.

The six Digi stores that will be open for the iPhone 6s midnight launch include SS2, Petaling Jaya; Kuantan, Pahang; Pulau Tikus, Pulau Pinang; Danga Bay, Johor; Kuching, Sarawak; and Api Api, Sabah. These Digi stores will be open from 12am – 7pm, on 16 October.

Maxis

We can’t find much details from Maxis as the Telco has opted to deliver the new iPhones within 24 hours of launch.

There won’t be any walk in as Maxis said the midnight launch is only for customers who pre-ordered earlier and opted for self collection. Customers who did not pre-order can walk in during business hours but they are advised to check for Maxis iPhones 6s stock availability first over here [link].

Its high likely that Maxis has limited stocks on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s as most the units have been secured via online pre-order.

Other- Apple Authorized Resellers

Its unlikely that the Apple resellers might do a midnight launch. The new iPhones will be available during business hours at these stores with limited units (outright purchase):

iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be available at Harvey Norman outlets on 16.10.15 at 10:00am (Ikano | Pavilion | Nu Sentral | Queensbay Mall).

It will also be available in All IT Hypermarket outlets in Plaza Low Yat and Digital Mall starting 10am.

Other Apple resellers that will offer the new iPhones include Machines, EpiCentre and others.
