Once users have registered for a trade-in, service supplier will pick up the device from their doorstep and provide them with an e-voucher that can be used to make purchases on Vmall from the comfort of their own home.

Steps of trade in on the Vmall store:

  1. Customer fill up details on the Vmall website
  2. After confirmation, phone will be picked up by LTG Technology Sdn Bhd
  3. LTG will evaluate the phone condition within 5 day and a Vmall e-coupon will be credited into customer account once the customer has agreed.
  4. Customer can use the Vmall coupon to make a purchase on the store.

All the trade-in phones are evaluated based on 3 condition: Good (highest value), Functional, Broken (lowest value).

Criteria of a phone in Good condition:

  • Can be powered on
  • All password, screen lock and SIM lock were removed
  • Main features are functional (i.e. touch screen, buttons, network connection, voice call, charging etc.)
  • No scratches on body, screen and camera

Most smartphone models across all brands in Malaysia are recyclable, and that is the only criteria consumers need to adhere to, in order to avail the online trade in service, Huawei said.
