Looks like U Mobile Hero P70 plan is getting better and better. U Mobile Hero P70 postpaid now comes with 15GB mobile Internet data, Unlimited Calls, at only RM70 per month, making it the most value for money postpaid plan, especially for voice and data users.
All existing Hero P70 postpaid users will be able to enjoy the additional 8GB (+ existing 7GB) starting tomorrow, 15 March 2016. However, the 8GB additional Internet data will only be given until 30 June 2016.
SMS usage is not yet unlimited and will be charged at a low rate of 3sen/SMS to within network and 8sen/SMS to outside network.
MalaysianWireless first unveiled the Hero P70 postpaid plan in late August 2015. U Mobile also recently launched Hero Plus postpaid plan, 2 lines at RM60/month each With the increased quota, Hero Plus users now get 18GB a month.
MalaysianWireless Comment:
Obviously, U Mobile is responding to competitors. Since launching its Hero P70 postpaid plan with Unlimited Calls at RM70 month, Digi fought back with a plan at RM65/month and RM75/month, followed by the recently launched 6 new Digi Postpaid plans. Celcom responded to Digi and U Mobile with a very good postpaid plan, Celcom First Gold at RM80/month with Unlimited Calls & SMS, 5GB+5GB data.
There wasn’t any new offerings from Maxis until recently. Maxis launched the MaxisOne plan 68 with Unlimited Calls/SMS, 5GB data at RM68/month. A really good postpaid plan from Maxis but it is only available in Sabah & Sarawak, it doesn’t make sense.
Personally, I would say Hero P70 postpaid plan is a very good plan if you live in Kuala Lumpur, Penang or Johor Bahru. However, if you are a frequent traveler, this plan is not for you as U Mobile is still working very hard to improve their coverage.
Even at 7GB+Unlimited Call at RM70/month, I still find it a value for money postpaid plan. 15GB only makes it better.
Note: This is not an official story until U Mobile makes the official announcement. Please refer to U Mobile’s website for the announcement.
