NSN completes takeover of Motorola Solutions’ Networks

Nokia Siemens Networks(NSN) has completed its acquisition of Motorola Solutions’ Networks assets paying US $975 million in cash. The deal makes NSN the world’s second largest wireless infrastructure and services provider. As part of the deal, approximately 6900 employees will transfer to NSN and the company will support 50 operators across 52 countries. Press release below.

Maxis 3G covers 80% of the Population

ZTE sued by Ericsson for alleged patent infringement

Ericsson has sued ZTE Corp for alleged infringement of several of its patents in handset and network technology. The lawsuits were filled in Britain, Germany and Italy. Ericsson has not issued any statement on the matter. P1 to upgrade WiMAX Network to LTE, live Demo next week

Packet One(P1) is currently exploring the possibilities to upgrade it network to LTE TDD, similar to what AsiaSpace announced last year. Malaysia Wireless has been invited to a live demonstration of the technology at Port Dickson next week where it will be Malaysia first live demonstration of LTE.
